DPW Challenge - Help Japan
This weeks challenge is to donate the sale of our paintings to aid Japan. This painting is for sale for $60. All but the shipping and handling are going to the Japan Red Cross. Please email me at deborahkth@sbcglobal.net if you want to purchase this painting. It is 6 X 8, oil on canvas.
The theme of the challenge was "home". I was born in Austin and after high school I moved away and didn't come back to Austin until several years ago. Austin is always my home and always will be. I painted the Capital Building of Austin. Capital of Texas. My State.
Here is the link to see all the other paintings in the challenge: DPW CHALLENGE.

6 X 6 Oil on Panel. NFS. I had to do several paintings for the One Stroke with one color challenge. It was tough but great practice for me. I had several successful paintings trying this method and I need to continue painting with more color.

When You Gotta Go....
8 x 10. Oil on Canvas. Okay, so normally I do nature or animal, zen type paintings. Anyway, this isn't my usually subject but I was in a humorous mood and this guy doing his business spoke to me. I thought it was just too cute. I originally started off trying to do the one stroke challenge but ended up painting regular, however, it did loosen me up a little to have the One Stroke in mind while painting.
