DPW Challenge - zippo

6 x 6 Oil on Panel. This is the new DPW Challenge. It's not a subject I would normally paint. Lately, I have been doing some paintings that aren't as tight. This one couldn't be very loose due to the object. It was two color - burnt siena and ultra marine blue. It was a good challenge to paint silver.

Aspens

8 x 16 Oil on Panel. This painting is untitled. I did the majority of it with palette knife. I'm thinking of doing another one but bigger.

Let's shake on it

8 x 10 Oil on Panel. I was painting at a Kim English workshop and we had two models in a lounge chair. This dog came up and wanted to be part of the fun! I took several photos. I couldn't help but paint this one.

On The Edge

This title is "On The Edge" which is how I feel sometimes. Lol. It's 6 x 6 Oil on panel. Another seagull for my "flock of seagulls" paintings. I have been a little under the weather. I haven't been painting as much as I would like. It doesn't pay to force myself to paint if I'm not feeling it. However, I feel I will soon be on the mend and hope to be more productive in upcoming weeks. Saturday is the Reception "For the Love of Art". I hope to see some of you there.

Manual Labor

This painting is an 8 x 10 Oil on panel. My husband thought it was humorous that he was in the yard planting a tree and I decided the light was hitting him just right and I started taking pictures.

Salon International 2011

I am excited to announce that this painting 12 x 24, Tranquil Journey was accepted into the Salon International.
