Naughty Cat

9 x 12. Oil on Linen. This beautiful Siamese Cat, Ann, was one of the cats at the Villa in Tuscany. She was a naughty cat because she peed on one of the artists painting bags. However, I'm sure she had good reason. Maybe she didn't like the way said artist was mixing her paints?? Anyway, she was very sweet and we all have a naughty side...

Tuscan Villa

6 x 8. Oil on Linen. This was a plein air painting done at the workshop in Italy. The instructors were Jill Carver and Kathryn Stats. It was a great workshop. I will post some photos of the trip.

Awaken the Soul

8 x 16 Oil on Panel. I have a few more changes to make on this painting. However, I haven't posted in a while and I thought I would show this in progress. My Mom is a Qi Gong instructor. She is among the lilies doing "awaken the soul".

Bozo's brother?

8 x 10 Oil on Panel. Some of you may remember a painting I did a while back of a boy with this clown. It was humerus to me because as a youth his father was afraid of clowns. I have been provided with a picture of the brother of my previous subject with the same clown!

Portland waterworks

This painting is 8 x 16 Oil on Panel. I went back through some of my photos I took a couple years ago to Portland to visit dear friends. This was a water play area. I took out some figures and added some in as I tried to balance the painting.

Abstract Pro

Acrylic on Watercolor paper. 11 x 14. This is another one of my abstract paintings. I find it interesting that I spend so many hours of painting and practicing my skill at realism oil painting and impressionism. However, this happens to be one of my husband's favorites. It certainly didn't take the amount of time to paint. However, I guess the accumulation of the learning of composition and design ultimately bring me to the point where I have the ability to paint simple abstracts. Anyway, the abstracts are a fun diversion from the complexity of my normal routine.
